Nina Chopra, MD, MPH, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in medical and cosmetic dermatology in addition to skin surgery. She serves the community of New York City as part of the team of renowned professionals at Lumos Dermatology® in the Flatiron District of Manhattan.
Dr. Chopra earned her medical degree in the accelerated BA/MD program at the George Washington University in Washington, DC, where her skills and aptitude were recognized with an invitation to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
After graduating, she completed an internship at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at Harvard Medical School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and served as the chief resident in dermatology at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She’s also spent time studying at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, where she trained in dermoscopy, an advanced technique for accurate detection of skin cancers.
Dr. Chopra maintains clinical and research interests in nonsurgical approaches to aesthetic rejuvenation, the evaluation, and treatment of skin cancer, and dermoscopic evaluation of pigmented lesions. She’s a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a faculty member at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York City.
Her excellence as a dermatologist is widely renowned; she was included in the Consumers’ Research Council of America’s Guide to America’s Top Dermatologists, and was awarded the Castle Connolly Regional Top Doctor for 2018.
